It's in the mail

The nursing student in me cries to get up from the computer, but the creative monster in me can't stop typing.

I Hate Waiting

Waiting for the phone to ring,

Waiting for the mail to come,

Waiting for an answer,

Waiting for the question,

Waiting in line,

Waiting for the microwave,

Waiting for the commercials to end,

Waiting for a show to start,

Waiting for a shift to end,

Waiting for the light to change,

Waiting on hold,

Waiting for the dogs,

Waiting for my car,

Waiting for things to start,

Waiting for things to change,

Waiting for sleep to come,

Waiting for the alarm to sound,

Waiting for the book to get better,

Waiting for the washer,

Waiting for the dryer,

Waiting for the sun to shine,

Waiting for the clouds to part,

Waiting for the computer to boot,

Waiting for the marks to be posted,

Waiting for the water to heat up,

Waiting for the music to start,

Waiting for the movie to end,

Waiting for emails,

Waiting for wounds to heal,

Waiting for the punchline,

Waiting for the point,

I just hate waiting.

Sometimes the weather is good...

And sometimes the weather is bad, but right now it's beautiful! Very tired from lack of sleep and completely stressed about school, but yes, I am getting through it!

I did my taxes online and yes, I am quite excited about that!

Recently visited the Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology and I highly recommend it for anyone this summer! The tour guides are quite good!

It is taking too long to download pictures so ya'll just have to wait!!

Happy New Year!

Just some posts from my trip to Pittsburgh! It was a lot of fun, and I promise when I have more time I will explain the tunnel/bridge... It was cooooool! Remember to click to make them bigger!

This was from the Natural History Museum. Jay and I spent quite awhile wandering through... It was great, but it did make me realize I haven't been to the ROM in ages!!
The above picture is for my aunt really. It's a complete skeleton of a relative of the horse we know today.Pittsburgh traffic! And you thought Toronto was bad!!I know it's a little fuzzy, but yes... that is a delightfully happy Tweetie Bird standing over it's murder victim. I swear that is exactly how it was displayed! Tucan Sam was there too! In all his fruit loop glory...

Now for the real reason we went to Pittsburgh. Not that the museum wasn't great, the steak yummy... but... well...Toronto Maple Leafs vs Pitteburgh Penguins! TO lost, but it was still lots of fun!
Toronto and Pittsburgh warming up...
And the game begins!
A little action in front of the net...
And a fight ofcourse...

The Dastardly Distractions of A&E

Being off of both work and school for a week over Christmas holidays has led me to an interesting discovery. I will state "I am going to clean today" more times than I will actually clean anything. I was genuinely motivated to clean my apartment this week but then I realized the unrelenting distraction that is A&E.

I have watched A&E from time to time, but never with too much interest. Now... now I have discovered American Justice and Cold Case files from 10am - 12pm.

I filled my sink with hot water and suds, and cleaned dishes during the commercials. Yes, it took longer than necessary, but I had to know if Cynthia George was impicated at all in the murder Jeff Zack! Did she get her other lover John Zaffino to pull the trigger? Did she pay for his wicked fast motorcycle he may have used in the murder? By the end of the show I felt the jury didn't have enough evidence to convict John Zaffino but they did. Shows what I know. The Akron cops couldn't get Cynthia George though... Until 2005! She was convicted!!!

Then! On Cold Case files there was a serial killer who literally left his calling card at the crime scene! He dropped his business cards at one of the body dump sites... but he got away because of lack of evidence tying him directly to the murder itself. Until 1999! A policeman looked at unsolved murders in his spare time and realized that this murder had DNA evidence attached but 25 years earlier they had no way to test! So he tested against the guy with the cards and BAM! Case solved! LOVE IT!

Wow... I wonder how much cleaning I could have gotten done instead of blogging...
