RIP Blue Denim Track Pants

I have that one pair of jeans. I am sure everyone has a pair. They fit so great, they're loose, they are always there for you. My jeans came from Old Navy about three or four years ago. They weren't the best fitting jeans, but I needed new jeans and they were on sale. They are flared slightly at the bottom, and they have pockets on the rear. Over the years they have become looser and thinner and suddenly, about a month ago, I notice the thread spot. You know the one I mean. It starts out as a small white spot then gradually builds until you can't ignore the fact you are getting a hole. It is on the rear just above the back pocket. I could patch it, but let's face it... getting the badge on my nursing uniform was an adventure in itself. I do the only think I can think of that will still allow me to wear the world's greatest jeans ever.

I only wear white underwear with my jeans.

Atleast you aren't seeing pink! I start to notice a few more white spots as the month goes on, but I won't give them up. They are like a second skin almost. More like blue denim track pants than jeans.

I've spilled coffee on them, cake, pasta, sauce, tea, peanut butter, discovered chocolate on them (still a mystery), there is even two perfect stains on each knee that I would never be able to explain to the boyfriend I don't have.

They have been to Ireland with me. New Orleans and Las Vegas as well.

But now there is just too much white. More thread than I care to think about, but that I cannot ignore.

The best jeans I have ever owned are now headed for the scrap heap. I plan to make a new toy for Farley and Charmin out of whatever I can get so atleast I know the jeans will live on.

Goodbye blue denim track pants!
