Ahhhh the zipper.... remember it?

Found on pants, skirts, jackets, sweaters, dresses and even shoes! Where has the zipper gone? Can it be making a comeback? I am sure you are thinking these are odd questions, but I believe someone or something was slowly phasing out the zipper. Snaps and rather LARGE plastic buttons are still popular on jackets... Laces seem to be making some kind of comeback in shoes (for awhile in the eighties it appeared velcro would take over). The 'hoodie', or bunny-hug if you are odd, oh I mean fluent in Saskatoonese, came roaring back with the sweatshirt look. You know, the one with the pocket on the front? Skirts and various pant styles became hip with a string thanks to Old Navy I believe...

But the dress...

Some people just do not have the shape to pull off a dress with no zipper in it!!!! Who thought it would be a good idea to remove the zipper from the side of a dress? Try pulling a dress without a zipper and lacking any kind of stretchiness over your head! No? Try pulling it... sorry, try straining to pull it from your feet. Trust me, if it fits over your hips it will be too large on your chest.

PUT THE ZIPPER BACK IN DRESSES WHOEVER YOU ARE!!!!
