It's in the mail

The nursing student in me cries to get up from the computer, but the creative monster in me can't stop typing.

What do they say about Tuesday's child?

Ahhhh the wonderous world that is orientation. There is something midly humourous (to me atleast) about orienting 2nd semester students. Shouldn't we know everything? Apparently that is difficult when those who are higher on the educational food chain start changing things. So I went and I was oriented. Tomorrow I will orient first semester students (like I have any idea what that is about!), so we will have to see how that goes.

I miss Labour day weekend already! Jay, Meagan, Kevin, Daisy and I all went to Mike's for Fondu!! It was great fun! And Jay let me drive his car... which was also great fun... Fondu pictures will be up when Meagan sends them.

Sunday, Jay and I went to the CNE to see the airshow and just wander around. The airshow was fun, but I forgot my camera... so no pictures.

Monday Meagan and I took Farley, Charmin & her dog Katie hiking...
You can click on this above photo and try to find the little dot that is my little adventure dog!

And here you can see my not so adventurous Farley...

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

It's interesting to be a student again. At the right time of year at least... I remember my first year out of college I watched back to school adds and thought 'Been there! Soooooo done with that!'

WRONG!!

Back again I go! Semester two is apparently the most challenging one on nursing students. This is where most drop out, or flunk out. The same was supposedly true about advertising students... I wonder about other classes? What was the nightmare semester?

Needless to say, it's back to getting up before the sun and racing off to my moms for a quick bagel and coffee then hiking my jiggly butt to Mac.

Trying desperately not to fall asleep during nursing theory, cramming my lunch into my face during the half hour my teacher would allow... everyone else got an hour... not us!

Trying to decide whether I will be more productive working at school or at home... trying to determine in what setting I want to end up after all of this stress!

Treading carefully with my belgian teacher, classmates at test time, and my ulcer was always fun! So was furiously rubbing my thighs after walking 30 minutes to get to school because I refuse to pay for parking...

God I can't wait for Tuesday!
